Lately it’s been tough to be in the Surf industry in the UK, your local industry is constantly bombarded with cheap imports from around the world, this makes it very difficult to make a profit these day’s. In times like this if you haven’t got the passion for the job then you will falter, I’ve lost count how many times i have nearly jacked it all in but I’m still here…I am here because i love building Surfboards it’s as simple as that.

I love the whole idea of being a local surfboard shaper the Building process and design, the customers and sales process, it’s all great from my first thoughts on a new board shape right through to the customers leaving with there new Surfboards. It’s a very hard and messy job but a very satisfying job especially when customers keep in touch with tails of waves they have had on one of your boards.
