The Weemal is a great alternative surfboard shape to learn on unlike a minimal you can learn to duck-dive and turn this board very quickly as long as you put the work in. A much more progressive board with features like the wide hip and square tail that enables easier wave catching and extra float in the turns, this makes the board a bit more responsive while still managing to be very stable for your first surfboard. The Weemal will take you further than a Minimal, it is a favorite with the kids due to it’s more fun and aggressive ride.
